Elm and Acrylic Vase

This amazing vase has been crafted from locally sourced elm burl from rosehaugh estate, rich with history. 
The piece was rough turned and allowed to dry for several months. Once ready,resin was added to create a seamless surface between the two materials. Once set, an elegant shape was decided. Finally, after being made waterproof, so it can hold water. the piece was sanded up to 3000 grit and a final polish was applied to give a mirror like finish.
