Heilan in old Scots means the mountainous districts of Scotland, pairing this with the suffix of Woodturning. Heilanturning was born.

We are proud of our Scottish heritage and with that, we try to incorporate that into every piece we make.

Timber is locally sourced when it can and we only use the exotic species that are sustainably sourced. It is important to do all we can to support the sustainability of species, as one day, we may be without them.
